The commemorative badge of the 16th Infantry Regiment from Tarnów.
It was approved along with the regulations by the Minister of Military Affairs on August 23, 1930.
Officer's version of the badge, very early issuance as evidenced by its low No. 51 (engraved), one-piece, sterling silver (confirmed by a small feature on the reverse), enamel.
Made by Wiktor Gontarczyk - Warsaw.
The pre-war cap is consistent with the maker of the badge, which is further confirmed on the reverse with the WG namesake in ligature.
Dimensions 38 x 38 mm
Badge with beautiful patina, very good minus condition - visible scratches and a small crack in the enamel in one of the arms.
