The Polish War Treasury was an independence organization established on August 25, 1912 in Zakopane at a convention of supporters of active struggle. The initiator of its establishment was Jozef Pilsudski. The movement was aimed at collecting funds for the activities of Polish paramilitary organizations in Galicia. In the eventuality of war, the collected funds were to be redirected to building the cadres of the Polish army.
