The State Road Fund (PFD) was established by a law of February 3, 1931. It was to provide funds for the construction and maintenance of public roads. The PFD was fueled by proceeds from tolls on passenger vehicles, some horse-drawn vehicles, fines for violating road regulations, and fees for advertisements placed along public roads.
All of the State Road Fund's scrip is classified as rare securities.
