Rare and interesting medal from the period of Augustus III of Poland, dedicated to the bishop of Krakow, founder of the Warsaw library.

Medal by Daniel Fehrmann (Stockholm medalist) from 1745, minted to commemorate the opening of the Załuski Library in Warsaw.

Practically non-existent on the auction market, with only a few known records.


Obverse: bust of the library's founder, Bishop Andrzej Załuski, facing right, signed DF on the sleeve cut
