Tranquillina (Furia Sabinia) was the daughter of Timesiteus, the Praetorian prefect, and the wife of Emperor Gordian III. She survived her murdered husband, but there is little information about her fate in the historical records. We do not know a single golden coin from the Empress's coins, only silver and brass. The coins on which she performed without Gordian bore the legend SABINIA TRANQUILLINA AVG (mouth).
