Presented denarius is dedicated to Pompey and the Pompeian Party. Quintus Sicinius joined Pompey in Greece, where he was accompanied by part of the Senate. Caius Coponius acts as praetor with the consent of the Senate. D. Sear advanced the thesis that this denarius was minted to finance the Pompeian fleet.
