Very rare Majnert's forgery, fanciful thaler from Olkusz of Stephen Bathory from 1578. Fancy coin made by the most famous and valued counterfeiter of Polish coins, Józef Majnert. Dies made by Majnert, probably cut by hand. As suggested by Henryk Mańkowski, an engraving from Adam Berg's work published in 1604 could serve as a model.
