Commemorative badge of the 30th Kaniowski Rifle Regiment from Warsaw, along with a set of mementos of Sgt. Waclaw Pietrzok.

It was approved by the Minister of Military Affairs on October 27, 1925, and its regulations on March 18, 1929.

Non-commissioned officer version of the badge, two-piece, gilt and silver plated tombak, enamel.

Made by Wiktor Gontarczyk - Warsaw.

Pre-war cap consistent with the maker of the badge.

Dimensions 41 x 41 mm

Badge with patina, good condition - visible silvering rubbing and enamel damage on one of the arms of the cross.

Badge of the Union of Polish Legionaries.

It was established on August 6, 1923 at the Second Congress of Polish Legionaries in Lviv and approved by the Minister of Military Affairs in 1925.

It was awarded to former soldiers of the Polish Legions, as a union badge. It was awarded since 1925.

The total number of its awards is not known.

One-piece badge, sterling silver (confirmed on the reverse by a small feature). Made by Jozef Michrowski - Warsaw, who is confirmed on the reverse with the namesake J.M.

The pre-war cap is consistent with the maker of the badge.

Dimensions 40 x 40 mm

Badge with beautiful patina, very good condition.

The Union of Polish Legionaries was established on May 30, 1918, as an organization of former soldiers of Jozef Pilsudski's Polish Legions, later also their families and other persons identifying themselves with the idea of the independence deed. In 1922 the Association had more than 2,500 former legionaries, in 1929 it already had 18,800 members, and in February 1939 it had about 15,000.

Also included are documents left by Sgt. Waclaw Pietrzok bearing his likeness, where the badges described above can be seen. These include:

Amilitary ID card issued in 1935 for st. sgt. W. Pietrzok, a company chief in the 30th Kaniowski Rifle Regiment. Photo with the image of the owner of the legitimacy card much earlier from 1925-1928.

Legitimacy card of the Peowiak Union from 1934 with a register of membership fees for the years 1937-1939.

Photograph with the image of the owner of the ID card from the 1st half of the 1930s with badges from the set.

Membership card of the Society of Friends of the Soldier, Kutno, April 20, 1950.
