Rare medal weighing two thalers, minted on the occasion of the coronation of Augustus as King of Poland on September 15, 1697.

Medal by the famous Dresden medalist, Martin Heinrich Omeis, signed in the cross-section of the arm.

Decorative edge.


Obverse: bust in armor, laurel on the head, fur on the right side of the armor

AUGUSTUS II D G REX POLON & M D L (August II, by the grace of God, King of Poland, Grand Duke of Lithuania)

Reverse: in a crowned round shield, the coats of arms of the crown and Lithuania, in the center the Saxon coat of arms
