Rare and very interesting medal depicting Augustus II and one of the most outstanding Saxon pagan leaders, Widukind.
Similarly to the medal with the family tree, there is a clear message of Augustus's excellent origins, which is further confirmed by the inscription on the edge of the medal REGENS CREANTUR REGIBVS (Kings are created by kings).
Medal by the famous Dresden medalist, Martin Heinrich Omeis, signed in the cross-section of the arm.
Obverse also known from the valued Medal for the Recovery of Kamianets-Podilskyi.
Mint luster on both sides.
